Hardness Advisory Committee

The advisory committee will build an agreement on a recommendation to address water hardness in the District.

This project will focus on developing a community-voiced recommendation regarding a course of action for water hardness in the District’s potable supply to the SACWSD Board of Directors. Recommendations from the committee will be considered by the Board of Directors in decisions related to water-hardness issues.

These meetings will consist of activities deemed necessary by the committee to formulate a recommendation. This could include identification of needed data, review of available information and identification of potential solutions to the elevated water hardness.

The Hardness Advisory Committee will meet the first Tuesday of every month, from 6 PM to 8:30 PM at the Stevenson Administration Building 6595 East 70th Ave Commerce City, CO 80022

Those dates are:
March 7th
April 4th
May 2nd
June 6th
August 1st

In July, there will be 2 public meetings in different geographic areas of the District. The meetings will be an opportunity for the Committee to gather information from the public. The Committee will use this input along with information and discussion from the regular meetings, and results from a District hardness survey to build agreement on a final recommendation to the Board in August. These dates will be decided by the committee.

The committee meetings are open to the public to attend.

If you are unable to make a committee meeting please submit your questions here.
